Let us pray. Pour forth, we beseech thee, O Lord, thy grace into our hearts; that we, to whom the Incarnation of Christ thy Son was made known by the message of an angel, may by his Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of his Resurrection. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

Questions

How do I pronounce Church Latin?

Mostly as Italian: c before e or i is ch, g before e or i is soft, gn is ny, ae and oe are e, and ti before a vowel is tsee. The guide on this page lists the rules with examples.

Why Iesus and not Jesus?

Older books print Jesus and ejus with a J; Church Latin today usually writes I. Both are said the same way, with a y sound: YEH-soos.

Can I print it?

Yes. Print card prints the Latin with the English beside it, on one page.
