54-Day Rosary Novena

The 54-day rosary novena is six novenas in a row: 27 days of the rosary prayed in petition, then 27 days in thanksgiving, whether or not the request has been granted. It is linked to a vision reported in Naples in 1884. Each day you pray five decades, rotating the joyful, sorrowful and glorious mysteries.

Each day

Pray five decades of the rosary. Before you begin, offer it for your intention: in petition on days 1 to 27, in thanksgiving on days 28 to 54. The mysteries rotate: day 1 joyful, day 2 sorrowful, day 3 glorious, then again from joyful. The tracker shows today's set.

The novena takes 54 days whatever the outcome: the second half is offered in thanks even if the request has not been granted, trusting that God has heard it.

O God, whose only begotten Son, by His life, death and resurrection, hath purchased for us the rewards of eternal salvation: grant, we beseech Thee, that, by meditating upon these mysteries in the most holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may both imitate what they contain, and obtain what they promise.
